I found a baby oil with aloe vera and vitamin e in it, so I didn’t have to buy a separate bottle. I mixed that with sugar and BAM! An awesome scrub for dirt cheap. Not for the face, obviously, but it does wonders for my body.

tab9037 – the fragrance is sold in small bottles everywhere. you can get it at walmart in the craft section. And no- vitamin E is NOT orange juice. that would be vitamin C. Vitamin E is sold in the skin care section at walmart/ drug stores.

Anyone who is bashing this young woman should make their own tutorial and show how it should be properly done accordingly, otherwise review the video and note that she says, it’s your preference. Start with 1/4 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of baby oil in an 8 oz. cup, and TRY IT OUT on your arm or leg first, then come back and share your experience with us, you may enjoy it. Stop being so hateful. We get it! Don’t use the baby oil on your face. Use olive oil. FINE!

    You shouldnt put it …
You shouldnt put it in the fridge…the sugar and oil will harden with the cold of the fridge making it harder to scoop out, and harder on your body as you use it. I always leave mine out…besides times are cold and i dont really think you will be needing any extra coldness…

    First of all this …
First of all this girl is not an expert an expert would be a qualified dermatologist but she does give some good tips. I would have to agree that olive oil would be much better for the skin than baby oil. The ingredients in baby oil have been shown to actually age skin and these ingredients are in most cheep lotions as well,

  18. midnitebenz Says:

    Baby oil is the …
Baby oil is the worst to use in a face scrub because it will leave your skin oily try extra virgin olive oil, it will absorb better and leave skin softer. I want to know how long does the scrub last bottled up and do you have to put it in the refridgerator?

  19. DeOdahBrowneKidz Says:

Just to mention, (before someone else does lol) you dont have to be qualified to make yourseld some lovely stuff at home.

I am just annoyed at how some tutorials dont explain the precautions of the ingredients!

    I agree, this isnt …
I agree, this isnt a good blend for the face more for the body.

Pure essential oils should be researched first before ANYONE uses them!
    (only some are photo toxic)

Use carrier oils such as sweet almond, olive, avocado, or in fact grapeseed which is less greasy that the rest if you have oily skin.

And be sure to mix up the correct ratio.

I am appalled at some of the rubbish i see on these tutorials by non qualified aromatherapists.

    Tut

Also to add, depending on what kind of baby oil you use, you may not need any fragrance. The vitamin e has a smell to it too. As does olive oil. I also added a bit of jojoba oil too, which I fould at my grocery store. That’s really good for your skin as well!
