Homemade Strawberry Facial Mask/Lip Scrub
Strawberries make a wonderful cleansing and skin softening facial mask they contain salicylic acid which removes dead/dry skin. They gently refresh the skin, remove impurities, and reduce redness and swelling.
*Remember not to put on the eyes just around*

Really great video! I’ll mention, though, that a lot of people are topically allergic to strawberries. I love them and eat them daily, but when I made a facial mask once, I developed an itchy rash for a full week. I asked my derm about it and he said that it is actually quite common. Always do a patch test when applying homemade remidies – or any for that matter

OH and have you tried an almond/honey/milk scrub? my skin gets REALLY dry so i like finely ground almonds as an exfoliant because it releases almond oils into your skin as you exfoliate!

corn starch is (as it would seem) the starch from corn or maize. it’s a thickening agent basically. not sure it’s got any skin benefits though, think it was just used in this mask for a better consistency
